Easton Nights: Spirit of Place, a Photography Exhibit by Peter Ydeen | Skillman Library, First Floor 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

Since 2015, Peter Ydeen has been photographing at night in Easton. The night has its own visual rules, its own color wheel, and its own ethereal presence. Easton becomes a silent city of lit stages, all in unreal color and shadow. Every space acts as a reflection of the people who made it. The project is both addictive and cathartic, and what started as an exercise, became an interaction with the quiet shapes and exotic lights in this sometimes forgotten city.
Easton Histories | Skillman Library, Simon Room 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

The city of Easton and the geographical region of Northampton County surrounding Lafayette College campus has undergone a succession of changes related to its inhabitants, industries, and infrastructures. Drawing from archival sources and ephemeral items held in Skillman Library’s Special Collections & College Archives, this exhibit showcases distinct characteristics of the local area.
The past and present in dialogue: rephotography at Lafayette College | Special Collections & College Archives Reading Room entryway, Skillman Library 209 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
